Scott Wilk's Profile

About

Born and raised in London, Ontario, my jewellery ambitions began when I enrolled in the Bealart program in 1996. In that program I learned the fundamentals of composition and design and developed my interest in sculpture and metalsmithing. In 1998, I was accepted at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. During my studies, I concentrated on and refined my design and metalsmithing skills and became fully aware of what I'd prefer to do with my time: jewellery design. After graduation, my wife moved to Nova Scotia to study at Dalhousie University. After she aquired her Master of Science degree in 2004, we moved back to Ontario and I decided to pursue my jewellery aspirations full time. In 2005 I enrolled at the Canadian Gemmological Association in their professional gemmology course and graduated in 2007 as a gemmologist.
