Through, continual growth, exploration and experience inspired by the diversity of the world, I design unique, original clothing, textiles and accessories.

Philosophy of Practice:

I was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia and shortly thereafter, my parents and I moved north to the Yukon Territory. I was raised in a far off, remote region of the Territory, surrounded by high mountains and deep canyons. Dangerous rivers snaked through the land were an expansive forest blanketed the world around me. The wilderness was continuously alive with wildlife, flora and fauna. Mission Statement:

Philosophy of Practice:

I was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia and shortly thereafter, my parents and I moved north to the Yukon Territory. I was raised in a far off, remote region of the Territory, surrounded by high mountains and deep canyons. Dangerous rivers snaked through the land were an expansive forest blanketed the world around me. The wilderness was continuously alive with wildlife, flora and fauna. Due to the isolated location of our home, we were the only humans for hundreds of kilometers. Life was simple; grocery shop once or twice a year, haul water and firewood, gather natures fruits and vegetables and breath in the sweet air. Seasons came and went, as my brothers and I studied hard with our correspondence text books, throughout the long cold winters and explored our vast wilderness backyard in the hot summers. As a family we would hike deep into the mountains, camping and exploring the immense wilderness and beauty surrounding us. Our simple life also meant that we had no power, no TV, no running water and no gas heat.

Inspiration and creativity began! In the oil lamp glow, during the long cold winters, I would practice creating and designing. I have; sewn by hand and by machine; made apparel, accessories, textiles, art and dolls; used fabrics, furs, leathers, beads, birch bark, paints, papers and dyes. These, of course, are but a few skills that I have learned in my lifetime. I believe in continuing my education, always increasing my knowledge and skills towards evolving into a well rounded professional. For me learning is crucial, to be: better in all aspects, open-minded, adaptable, flexible, respectful, and to gain knowledge. This goes beyond me as an individual, in that, I will endeavor to help better our world by creating functional apparel, accessories, and textiles. I strive for a holistic outlook to foster and enhance my efforts to make the world a more beautiful place.

I believe designers are only as extraordinary as their passion. My passion lies in my drive for knowledge, diversity, quality, uniqueness and creativity. Such inspirations, as offered by the world around me, are what nourish my experiences and develop into my designs. Yet, it is also important to think outside the box. All channels of realization must be explored to result in a confidence of my imagination and creation. Exciting, dynamic and bold are the outcomes of such explorations. This is where I am in the flow, I lose track of time and become my creative vision. There is nothing sweeter then using my hands to make something beautiful and functional. My designs are the result of my passion. I want to create beauty through use of colour and pattern. I want people to see what I see. I look forward to showing my work proudly and with integrity.

Throughout my life there will be people coming and going, but I must always remember to be true to myself, my beliefs, my values and my perspectives. This is my pathway to success and professionalism.
