Our Players:

►●My self: "wiresNpliers" (AKA Wires 'N Pliers) Twisting, tying, throwing ROCKs & making chain, then banging, bending and pounding metals, that's me. Oh, and I make clinical and professional lanyards, and handmade one-of-a-kind cold forged copper (and more) bookmarks. Yes, that's right, no punched out store bought bookmark 'blanks' will be found in this shop, each bookmark is uniquely shaped by hand and sometimes they have gems on them..... and, well you'll just have to go and see them for yourself: ( https://www.etsy.com/shop/wiresNpliers?section_id=7595352 )

Our Shop Sections:

►●"Art Careers" Sarahbushka:
Sarahbushka is an Artist with Autism & developmental disabilities, who earned her experience by stringing beaded necklaces at her "Art Careers" Class, through our local center for developmentally disabled and special needs persons.
"Art Careers" is a source of beauty and expression; when one realizes that all of the art there culminates from the minds of the students; folks that oftentimes cannot verbally express their views and thoughts as others can. ♥
"Art Careers" consists of Jewelry Making through the beading of necklaces, lanyards, and more, with some students currently in the beginning stages of training with metalworking and making charm bracelets. ♥
It is our hope that the world can see that everyone has something to offer, no matter what they are challenged with daily.♥

Sarahbushka's "Art Careers" Necklaces are now exclusively offered RIGHT HERE at "wiresNpliers" alongside her own line of "Sarahbushka" jewelry, and that includes any of Sarahbushka's occasional lanyards, too!

See our "Art Careers sections, where Sarahbushka proudly presents her Art Careers classroom jewelry!! ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/wiresNpliers?section_id=5938411 )

►●Lanyards & ID Holders - Once known as "Lotsa Lanyards" Our ID holders are Ready or Custom Made and feature our Breakaway* Suregrip 3 pc lanyard systems; specially made for Education and clinical systems that require breakaway safety features, but available for any usage! We also make lanyards in the traditional linear style without the breakaway feature, too. However you want it, in the style and color combinations you prefer; just ask. Many of the lanyards we sell are custom orders and you can browse our previous "Sales" for examples of our custom made Lanyards. They're beautiful and great examples our work.

*All Lanyards are clean-break "Breakaway" Lanyards, unless otherwise noted in the listing (as in some promotional offerings). Most of our promotional lanyards the use smaller magnetic RareEarth clasps. These smaller magnetically clasped Lanyards (while still being Neodymium magnets) might not have the stronger yield and breakpoint of our regular clasped lanyards. Instead, they feature a stainless steel safety chain hard-wired to each side of the magnetic clasp in the event of a magnetic failure so that your lanyard will not fall to the ground, lessening the chance for bead breakage resulting in broken glass shards. In some cases our Lanyards are "in line" (no magnetic clasp, or ring), mainly because they have been completely knotted from end to end as in our MAN-yards.

Donations of $5.00 from each Breakaway SureGrip 3 pc lanyard, goes to KindTree Productions (kindtree.org) "Autism Rocks!"
http://www.etsy.com/shop/wiresNpliers?section_id=5694293
KindTree Productions is a non Profit org that specializes in promoting awareness, treatment, and social/community inclusion and integration. Check them out, at the above website address!

►●"Autism Awareness" - Specific Autism Awareness items including jewelry, bookmarks, and even more lanyards!

►●"Seasonal" - Yes, that's right, Seasonal, and no, that doesn't mean salt and peppered to taste. They're usually sweetened to sight, like Holidays should be, Christmas Tree and window ornaments or things that can hang anywhere, including from your ears and neck, but they will be seasonally themed, that means the 4 seasons, too!

~~~~~~~~~~~~and here's more info!~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sometimes colors may vary slightly due to computer monitor settings and/or how the camera reads the color shade and hue. I will try to mention this in the listings when there is an obvious difference.
African Trade Bead Information: These small African “Trade Beads” also called Christmas Beads are trade beads that have been made in Germany, France, and other European countries that have traveled through many continents circa 1400’s – the early 1900’s and traded in Africa and America as currency for goods and services. These are from the times from the early 1900’s to mid century.
Popularity has grown over the years with a rise in the 1960’s when African Trade Christmas Beads were referred to as “Love Beads.” Anyone who collects trade beads generally knows of their unique beauty and collectability, and respects them for what they are and what they historically symbolize.
I also have some Krobos Sand beads and powder glass beads, traditionally made by the Krobos peoples, by hand, in molds utilizing the cassava leaf method, during oven firing.
Spirit Beads: From Native American (and other cultures too), a bead (or thread) of a different color or style woven into a pattern to show that perfection has not yet been achieved, because if perfection were achieved there would be no way for the supreme being to enter into the soul. The soul must have imperfections. In some cultures a strand of thread or a weave pattern is purposely altered in order for God to enter the soul. It's all about not having perfection and leaving room for it in the future.
It is ironic to notice that in the Western Cultures perfection is strived for daily, like climbing a ladder, doing whatever it takes to be the best. All the while, there are people that live here on the same planet that purposely strive for non perfection, just so that they can know that there is more to come. Seeking perfection vs. knowing perfection and turning away from it. Just something to contemplate upon. I do.
And of course recognizing that coral and paua have been utilized by many cultures throughout almost every age of humankind, our paua, and coral has been as ethically harvested and utilized with as much sustainability as possible. We also recognize one basic fact. Earth bats last, and that we too, are unsustainable as a living organism.
Sometimes I incorporate vintage and antique items into my art. If I have done this, I will always note it in the description of the item listed.
~~~~~
I start my work with a slim idea, a notion of where I want to go; then, I just go there....
So far I have reached where I have gone.

The sight of time in 3D, the temperature of music, or "just because" of my angles and perspectives; I have learned to keep my camera and/or notebook close by, because oftentimes the ideas are what catch me off guard.
Quite often my notions are born of nature, and I always try to be mindful that nature includes both the natural and the unnatural.
