About

The whole story has started few years back when, as a homeowner, I was in serious need to fill up my new remodeled house in furniture. This place was empty at the time, so I've started to search online and visit stores with various styles and prices. It was really hard to find something extraordinary within my price range and with the desired dimensions, not even mentioning repeating styles and tones.

In the meantime, as a Polish immigrant, I was working for eastern european beverage distributor and I found out that most of imported alcohol from Poland is being shipped on really nice and thick euro pallets. Poland is famous of being the biggest pine skid producers which are proven to be indispensable, especially in overseas transportation where pallets have to be durable and firm to maintain often over 2000 pounds burden on each.

What is more, the company I worked for was disposing of these nice pieces, so I was able to make something out of it.

The idea of reclaiming and reusing existing material was the most convincing factor to create furniture.

After disassembling I receive one inch thick planks with a variety of length and width, so at the time I've created a headboard first, then a dining table, media shelves and even a sofa base. My walls were covered in threaded pipe shelves with treated and stained shipping pallet planks and mirrors with pine wood accents.

All these pegged details have created one of a kind atmosphere and character of my place. What is really interesting about reclaimed wood I work on, is that it fits most of interior designs. That is why friends of mine and people visiting my house were fascinated and have urged me to the place and position I am right now. I am glad I can share my ideas with others.

Currently the shipping pallet planks are still my uppermost material I use for creations, although threaded pipes, old beams, logs and boards from demolished construction sites are also used.
