Tony Ditmars' Profile

About

I grew up in northern BC (white spruce capital of the world) so didn't get to see many hardwoods. When we moved down here, I was amazed at the variety of ornamental trees in yards & streets and I've yet to try them all out. Half the pleasure is in hunting the stuff down, the other in getting a design just right and watching the colours come to life under the finish.
My woodturning started by fooling around with wood on a metal lathe, and soon turned into a mania. Fifteen years later, I am grateful for the fun it's given me and the skills I've developed.
