Hi, I'm Val at Newland Ranch - way out on the great grassy plains of Saskatchewan, Canada. I learned to process, spin and weave our wool after I got my first flock. A big learning curve in the beginning but absolutely necessary. And the learning will never end in this life time. I have Master Spinner level 3 and have completed the pre-requisite for Master Weaver level 1 (Olds College, Alberta).
Our small flock has lovely ewes, wethers and rams - Corriedales & crosses (some crossed with Arcotts, Romney, Merino, Rambouillet, Columbia), a flock of Black Welsh Mountain and Blue Faced Leicesters and crosses. Our newest additions are Cotswold ewes with Cotswold cross lambs and a Lincoln Long Wool ram.
