About

I am a self-taught artist. I spend my time creating fine silver jewelry. I get my inspiration from the southwest, my love of American Indian culture, and cowboys. With my long time career as a beautician and owning my own salon for 19 years, I wanted to do something different so I start making jewelry. I started working with metal clay and as a result fell in love with it.

After I won 2nd place in a contest for Delphi Glass I decided to sell my jewelry creations. I only put my work in the contest for kicks never thinking in a million years I would ever win but when the UPS driver arrived with my winnings it was all the start of a passion I truly love. I am a self-taught artist. I spend my time creating fine silver jewelry. I get my inspiration from the southwest, my love of American Indian culture, and cowboys. With my long time career as a beautician and owning my own salon for 19 years, I wanted to do something different so I start making jewelry. After I won 2nd place in a contest for Delphi Glass I decided to sell my jewelry creations. I only put my work in the contest for kicks never thinking in a million years I would ever win but when the UPS driver arrived with my winnings it was all the start of a passion I truly love. I create when I get inspired or find objects that I know fit my style.

You can find wonderful creations of all types in my shop, from sparkling gemstones to inexpensive copper and artistic designs. I love the rustic look of copper but my first love is silver. I work with many mediums including resin and polymer clay because I like trying new things. I always want to bring you quality no matter what material I use. I do my very best to create things that will give you years of joy and can be passed down for generations.

My designs at West Wind Creations are one of a kind so you will have a unique accessory that shows your true style that is never matched.

Some information you should know:
Fine silver is also known as pure silver. Metal clay when fired becomes pure silver. Sterling silver is .925% silver, not as pure.
