After receiving a BFA from Cooper Union, I remained in downtown NYC, becoming known for my art and custom work, mostly for the art world. The only "Job" I ever had that paid a salary was for the Dept. of Cultural Affairs which lasted a year. Self -employed since then, painter, carpenter, furniture and cabinet maker, toy designer, and recently added jewelry maker. Having acquired skills for cutting and shaping seashells for my shell tables and wall pieces, I saw that the "Cuttings" were attractive and unique.
I have been doing a number of arts and crafts events the past few years. Earlier my art was shown in NYC Galleries, highlights include a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, sales of large paintings to public collections including one to Marathon Oil by MOMA in NYC.
