Joan Zatorski Puca's Profile

About

My career as a kindergarten & 1st grade teacher in a blue-collar/low-income community on Long Island, N.Y., spanned over 17 years & was a constant source of challenge, fulfillment, & joy. This level of happiness was eventually surpassed by sharing my journey with Christopher, my husband. He is my co-conspirator in the adventure of "life". As a mom to four unique & always surprising sons, I give then credit for my patience, senses of humor and of the absurd, and the capacity of my heart to love unconditionally. I'm now loving being the Polish Babci to 4 grandchildren. Despite the challenges facing our environment & our current political & social strife, I'm still convinced that kindness and compassion are alive and well. I witness it daily in my little corner of the Sonoran Desert in Tucson, Arizona.
