144 Collection è nata come un semplice hobby per me. Ho iniziato a prendere lezioni di cucito come un'attività entusiasmante che mi avrebbe permesso di esprimere il mio lato creativo. Mentre continuavo con le mie lezioni, ho scoperto che mi piaceva molto creare modelli e progettare borse. Volevo creare borse che nessun altro aveva.
Ho preso il mio amore per entrambi e nel febbraio 2006 ho lanciato 144 Collection. Ho incontrato Mary Sue (Sewing Susie) nel giugno 2006 dopo che ha risposto a un annuncio che ho inserito per una sarta. Da allora lavoriamo insieme. Condividiamo storie sulla vita, l'artigianato e il tempo (Susie vive nel Michigan). Mary Sue è una meravigliosa artigiana che lavora anche all'uncinetto, trapunte, maglie e fa perline. È una parte insostituibile del team di 144 Collection.
Il numero 144 proviene dal mio vecchio indirizzo dell'appartamento dove ho iniziato a cucire. Il mio logo rende anche omaggio al luogo in cui ho iniziato a cucire (è il mio edificio!).
Ogni borsa e bracciale è unico sia che si tratti della mia scelta di tessuto o design. Adoro le stampe a colori e retrò. Man mano che la mia passione cresce, sono costantemente alla ricerca di nuove cose da creare. Ho aggiunto accessori per bambini nel 2010 dopo aver avuto 3 amici che avevano tutti bambini nello stesso periodo.
La mia speranza è che le persone si divertano con le mie borse e i miei accessori tanto quanto io li progetto.
144 Collection started as a simple hobby for me. I began taking sewing lessons as an exciting activity that would let me express my creative side. As I continued with my lessons, I found that I really loved making patterns and designing handbags. I wanted to create handbags that no one else had.
I took my love of both and in February 2006 launched 144 Collection. I met Mary Sue (Sewing Susie) in June 2006 after she answered an ad I placed for a seamstress. We have been working together ever since. We share stories about life, crafting, and the weather (Susie lives in Michigan). Mary Sue is a wonderful crafter who also crochets, quilts, knits, and does beadwork. She is an irreplaceable part of the 144 Collection team.
The number 144 comes from my old apartment address where I first began sewing. My logo also pays homage to the place I started sewing (its my building!).
Each handbag and wristlet is unique whether it is my choice of fabric or design. I love color and retro prints. As my passion grows, I am constantly looking for new things to create. I added baby accessories in 2010 after having 3 friends who were all having babies around the same time.
My hope is that people will have as much fun with my handbags and accessories as I do designing them.
