UNIQUE ARTIST MADE JEWELRY INSPIRED BY ORIGINAL PAINTINGS AND DRAWINGS
When I was a child, I had very "real" dreams that kept my imagination in a state in between the two realities - the sleeping and walking worlds. This has become an inspiration for my colorful art which explores the connection between the two worlds: the Known and the Unknown. "In-betweennes" is also my personal story of being an Eastern European girl who came to live in a Western world.
I am a Serbian multidisciplinary artist based in New York. My main medium is painting, but I also create artistic jewelry which feature images of my original art.
ARTBYSANDRAV collection includes unique pendant necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings which are inspired by my original paintings and drawings. However, I sometimes paint directly inside the empty bezels to make one-of-a-kind miniature "masterpieces" which belong to my ONLY1 collection.
To create jewelry, I use various art and non-art materials, such as: acrylic paint, ink, calligraphy markers, glitter, and crushed glass. All my jewelry is finished with epoxy resin ("Liquid Glass") which creates beautiful high-gloss surface, enhances the colors and creates dimension in the piece.
