Welcome to my studio. I’m Adam Howard, a second-generation stained glass artist working on California’s Central Coast in Morro Bay where Glass, Color, Light and Craftsmanship come together to create tiny glowing worlds. I grew up around the craft learning from my father, master glass artist Jerry Howard, and I’ve spent much of my life building small glass structures that let the beauty of the glass shine. My illuminated cottages and glass houses are built one piece at a time using premium American art glass and built using traditional copper-foil techniques inspired by the old Tiffany studios and the Architectural style of Frank Lloyd Wright. I design the structure first, then choose the glass that gives each little house its character. Every piece is made by hand with no patterns so each piece is uniquely yours. My hope is that each piece feels like a tiny glowing home of its own, bringing warmth, sparkle and a little bit of magic wherever it lives.
