Hi, my name is Tania. I served as a law enforcement officer for over 21 years alongside my husband and 2 brothers. All 4 of us worked ground zero during the aftermath of 9/11. I know first hand what it's like to not only send your loved ones out the door to work a job that does not guarantee safety, I also know what it is like to be out there serving our communities.
As a blue line family, we deeply value our fellow first responders and their families, which is why we created the Blue Monarch Co Jewelry store! The Story Behind the Name:
Several years ago while I was at work my husband (John) sent me a picture of a blue monarch butterfly that had landed on his arm. That butterfly stayed there for over 20 minutes! We realized that it was also the anniversary of my father's passing. Butterflies are popularly thought to symbolize a person's essence, or soul, either past, present or future.
It was obvious to us at the time that; my father had come to finally meet my husband. John had never met my father as he passed away at the very beginning of our relationship.
That exact butterfly is now tattooed on my husband's arm!
When it came time to choose a name for our business, my husband suggested Blue Monarch since its symbolism gave me hope and reignited my faith that my father was still around us. Once John suggested it, it was a no brainer for me! Not only did the blue monarch symbolize so much to me in that moment with my father, the blue butterfly also symbolized how our Thin Blue Line family will always be in our hearts. As the saying goes, we will always bleed blue!
