Ik ben zelf ouder, maar geen alleenstaande ouder. Wat me aantrok in FernAndForward zijn de mensen om me heen: een aantal goede vrienden die hun dagelijks leven volledig zelfstandig regelen, en van wie ik uit eerste hand heb gezien hoeveel onzichtbaar werk er bij komt kijken als je kinderen opvoedt. Kinderalimentatie regelen, kinderopvang organiseren, tijd vinden om zich op hun eigen kinderen te richten – en dat allemaal zonder dat er iemand is die op het laatste moment kan bijspringen.
Zo is het idee voor deze webshop ontstaan: digitale planners die niet gebaseerd zijn op theorie, maar op echte gesprekken over wat er nu echt ontbreekt in het dagelijks leven. Ik kan niet zeggen dat ik precies weet hoe het voelt, maar ik heb goed opgelet en geprobeerd tools te ontwikkelen die daadwerkelijk helpen. Fijn dat je er bent.
I'm a parent myself – but not a single parent. What led me to FernAndForward were the people around me: a few close friends who organize their entire everyday lives on their own, and watching up close just how much invisible work gets added on top of ordinary parenting. Keeping track of child support, coordinating childcare, trying to clear your head enough to actually be present for your kids – all without anyone who can just step in on short notice.
That's where the idea for this shop came from: digital planners that don't come from theory, but from real conversations about what's actually missing in everyday life.
