A Fish Farm Botanicals está situada em 50 acres em Willis, Texas. Nossos peixes vivem em 400 pés de estufa com um sistema que circula a água através de tanques de 4 a 100 pés. Esses tanques têm 3 metros de largura e de cada lado há cascalho por onde a água é filtrada. Foi aqui que criei minhas orelhas de elefante. As rochas estão cheias de nutrientes que são filtrados dos dejetos dos peixes. Este desperdício é como ouro líquido quando se trata de plantas em crescimento.
Uma vez que as plantas são grandes o suficiente, eu simplesmente as puxo das rochas, enxáguo as raízes e as embalo delicadamente para enviar. Eu cortei a folhagem porque isso reduz o custo de envio e as folhas quase sempre são danificadas no transporte. Depois de plantar sua orelha de elefante, você obterá novas folhas frescas surgindo rapidamente.
Minha jornada para vender no Etsy foi um acaso total. Tudo começou com a fazenda de peixes e um amigo me dando uma orelha de elefante. Plantei nas pedras da casa verde sem saber que iria florescer e se multiplicar tanto. Como você vê agora, a casa verde está repleta de diferentes variedades de plantas e orelhas de elefante.

Fish Farm Botanicals is situated on 50 acres in Willis, Texas. Our fish live in 400 ft of green house with a system that circulates the water through 4-100 foot tanks. These tanks are 10 feet wide and on each side there is gravel that the water is filtered through. This is where I grown my elephant ears. The rocks are full of nutrients that is filtered from the fish waste. This waste is like liquid gold when it comes to growing plants.
Once the 'plants are large enough I simply pull them from the rocks, rinse the roots and gently package them to ship. I cut off the foliage because this cuts down on shipping cost and the leaves almost always get damaged in shipping. Once you plant your elephant ear you will get fresh new leaves popping out in no time.
My journey into selling on Etsy has been total happenstance. This all started off with the fish farm and a friend giving me an elephant ear. I planted it in the rocks of the green house not knowing that it would flourish and multiply so much. As you see now the green house is just bursting with different varieties of plants and elephant ears.
