He estado haciendo artículos hechos a mano desde que tengo memoria. Empezó como algo personal, una forma de desconectar, de encontrar consuelo en el ritmo del hilo, la aguja, el alambre y la tela. Nunca imaginé que se convertiría en algo que otros no solo notarían, sino que amarían lo suficiente como para desearlo.

Las manualidades siempre han formado parte de mi vida. Soy mayormente autodidacta, impulsada por la curiosidad y un profundo amor por crear cosas hermosas con mis manos. La excepción es la joyería, donde me tomé el tiempo de aprender con instructores experimentados y clases prácticas. Mi abuela, una talentosa costurera por derecho propio, también me enseñó los fundamentos de la costura. Su sabiduría, paciencia y orgullo por su trabajo moldearon mi comprensión de la artesanía. Aún llevo las lecciones que aprendí en sus rodillas en cada pieza que creo hoy.

El bordado se convirtió en una pasión que descubrí por mi cuenta. Hay algo meditativo en la concentración silenciosa que requiere y en cómo permite que el arte se desarrolle puntada a puntada. Empecé a regalar piezas a amigos y familiares, simplemente por el placer de compartir. Nunca esperé vender nada. Pero se corrió la voz, y las piezas empezaron a hablar por sí solas.

Durante años, también compartí lo aprendido con otros, enseñando, animando y ayudando a otros creadores a encontrar su propio ritmo y estilo. Fue una experiencia gratificante, pero a la vez diferente, y me recordó por qué me enamoré de la creación.

Esta tienda es un reflejo de ese viaje, un espacio donde la elegancia se entrelaza con el legado. Cada pieza se elabora con intención y cuidado, moldeada por la tradición e inspirada por la alegría de crear. No son solo artículos hechos a mano: son reliquias en proceso de creación, creadas para atesorar.
Mi última pieza, un diseño hecho a mano con auténtica tela Kente, encarna todo lo que representa esta tienda. Rica en historia y con un profundo significado, Kente es más que una simple tela; es una historia transmitida de generación en generación, tejida con símbolos de unidad, orgullo e identidad. Incorporarla a mi trabajo es una forma de honrar mis raíces y celebrar el arte de las tradiciones textiles africanas.

What began as a quiet hobby blossomed into something unexpected, a small sanctuary of creativity that others found beauty in, too.

I’ve been making handmade items for as long as I can remember. It started as something personal, a way to unwind, to find comfort in the rhythm of thread, needle, wire, and fabric. I never imagined it would grow into something others would not only notice, but love enough to want for themselves.

Crafting has always been a part of my life. I’m mostly self-taught, driven by curiosity and a deep love for creating beautiful things with my hands. The exception is jewelry-making, where I took the time to learn from seasoned instructors and hands-on classes. My grandmother, a talented seamstress in her own right, also taught me the basics of sewing. Her wisdom, patience, and pride in her work shaped my understanding of craftsmanship. I still carry the lessons I learned at her knee into every piece I make today.

Embroidery became a passion I discovered on my own. There’s something meditative about the quiet concentration it requires, and the way it allows artistry to unfold one stitch at a time. I began gifting pieces to friends and family, just for the joy of sharing. I never expected to sell anything. But word spread, and the pieces began to speak for themselves.

For years, I also shared what I’d learned with others, teaching, encouraging, and helping fellow makers find their own rhythm and style. It was fulfilling in a different way, reminding me of why I fell in love with creating in the first place.

This shop is a reflection of that journey, a space where elegance is woven from legacy. Every piece is made with intention and care, shaped by tradition and inspired by the joy of making. These are not just handmade items—they’re heirlooms in the making, crafted to be treasured.
My latest piece, a handmade design featuring authentic Kente cloth, embodies everything this shop stands for.
