He estado trabajando con animales exóticos la mayor parte de mi vida y comencé a hacer ganchillo para vender en el trabajo. Usé el dinero de las ventas para comprar golosinas especiales y juguetes para los animales en las instalaciones. Me sobraron algunos sombreros cuando me retiré y decidí intentar venderlos en Etsy. Encuentro que el ganchillo es muy relajante y es algo que puedo hacer mientras veo la televisión por la noche. Me encanta crear mis propios diseños únicos y trabajar con diferentes medios. Encuentro el proceso de diseño muy satisfactorio, y trato de reutilizar y reutilizar materiales en mis creaciones. Estoy en el proceso de comenzar un centro de rescate y rehabilitación sin fines de lucro para poder continuar retribuyendo a los animales. Hice muchos programas educativos en el trabajo y fue muy gratificante tratar de iluminar a las personas sobre la importancia de los animales, el medio ambiente y nuestra responsabilidad en la administración de ambos.

I have been working with exotic animals most of my life and I started crocheting hats to sell at work. I used the money from the sales to buy special treats and toys for the animals at the facility. I had some hats left over when I retired and decided to try and sell them on Etsy. I find crocheting to be very relaxing and it's something I can do while I'm watching TV at night. I love to create my own unique designs and work with different mediums. I find the design process very fulfilling, and I try to reuse and repurpose materials in my creations. I am in the process of starting a nonprofit rescue and rehabilitation facility so I can continue to give back to the animals. I did a lot of educational programs at work and it was very rewarding to try to enlighten people about the importance of animals, the environment, and our responsibility in the stewardship of both.
