I'm a 24-year-old physiotherapy student with a simple dream: helping people heal, feel better, and make a positive difference in their lives.
Between lectures, exams, and long study nights, I started CandleFromHeart with the support of my mother. What began as a small creative project quickly became something much more meaningful. Together, we create personalized candles designed to celebrate memories, express feelings, and bring people closer to the ones they love.
Like many students, I face the challenge of financing my education. Every candle sold helps me continue my studies and move one step closer to becoming a physiotherapist. But more importantly, every order reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

My name is Mia, and I'm 24 years old — a psychology student, a daughter, and a dreamer somewhere between two worlds.
Growing up Asian American, mahjong was never just a game in our home. It was the sound of Sunday afternoons, my mother Soojin's laughter cutting through the click of tiles, the ritual that kept us tethered to something larger than ourselves.
When college tuition became a mountain, my mom didn't hesitate. "We build this together," she said, setting down a tile like she always does — with intention.
