À propos d'Andrea :
J'ai toujours créé. Comme la plupart des utilisateurs d'Etsy, j'ai besoin de créer. C'est ce qui me rend le plus heureuse au monde. Bien sûr, tout a commencé avec la pâte à modeler, puis la céramique, ensuite le plâtre et le bois, et enfin le métal. Le métal a été une évidence. J'aime sa permanence. Et j'aime les petits objets, les trésors de poche, les mini-sculptures à porter. Un idéalisme presque existentiel m'a empêchée de me contenter d'être une simple manipulatrice d'objets, et je me suis donc essayée à des activités professionnelles, mais on ne peut échapper à sa véritable nature.
C’est ainsi que je me suis adonnée avec joie à la création de petits trésors, passant des heures à scier, limer, poncer, polir, souder, marteler ; le tout avec un petit sourire de bonheur parfait. Je suis désormais bijoutière à plein temps.
Je suis plutôt jeune. J'ai fait des études. Je suis une hippie élégante. Je ne souhaite ni être riche ni célèbre. Je vis à New York avec mon mari, mes deux enfants, six poules et deux perroquets. La vie est belle.
About Andrea:
I have always made things. Like most of my fellow Etsians, I need to create. It is what makes me happiest in this world. Of course, it started with playdough, then ceramics, on to plaster and wood and then finally metal. Metal was The One. I love the permanence of it. And I love the small object, the little pocket treasure, the wearable minisculpture. There was some sort of world shaking idealism that kept me from letting myself be merely a manipulator of small objects and so I dabbled in professional pursuits, but there is no escaping the person you were meant to be.
And so I have happily succumbed to the creation of small treasures, whiling away the hours in sawing, filing, sanding, polishing, soldering, hammering; all with a little smile of perfect happiness. I am now a full time jeweler.
I am youngish. I am well educated. I am an elegant hippie. I don't want to be rich or famous. I live in NY with my husband, two kids, six chickens and two parrots. Life is good.
