El Programa de Tejido en OPTIONS se inició en octubre de 2012 después de que los voluntarios de OPTIONS vieran un programa similar en Alemania. El Programa de Tejido comenzó como una actividad de enriquecimiento, pero ahora es otro negocio de OPTIONS que proporciona un trabajo significativo para hombres y mujeres con discapacidades.
Los tejedores están creando artículos hermosos y únicos que incluyen alfombras, bufandas, paños de cocina y mucho más. Nuestros tejedores han cultivado sus talentos específicos de tejido a través de las enseñanzas cuidadosas y cuidadosas de voluntarios dedicados. Nuestros tejedores han aprendido a crear combinaciones de colores de buen gusto en sus urdimbres, tramas y tesoros para crear piezas que son específicas para su mano. Han aprendido a vestir el telar, crear su proyecto y coser dobladillos y etiquetas para terminar completamente sus piezas. The Weaving Program at OPTIONS was started in October 2012 after OPTIONS volunteers saw a similar program in Germany. The Weaving Program began as an enrichment activity, but it’s now another OPTIONS business that provides meaningful work for men and women with disabilities.
Weavers are creating beautiful and unique items including rugs, scarves,dish towels and so much more. Our weavers have cultivated their specific weaving talents through the careful and caring teachings from dedicated volunteers. Our weavers have learned how to create tasteful color combinations in their warps, wefts, and treasures to create pieces that are specific to their hand. They have learned to dress the loom, create their project, and sew hems and labels to completely finish their pieces. We believe that there are no mistakes and all doors are open to new designs and ideas.
