Piccoli pensieri diventati grandi
La Forgia di Pathfinder è guidata da un trio di amici strani e saffici, Sarah, Sprout e Cass!
I tre si sono riuniti quando hanno iniziato a prendere parte più attivamente al fandom di Star Wars, stabilendosi in una nicchia di persone particolarmente entusiaste dell'arte e della scrittura incentrate su wlw!
Distrattamente, dopo aver intrapreso i nostri viaggi individuali per creare tipografie separate e progetti che contribuissero al più ampio fandom di Star Wars, ci siamo lamentati l'uno con l'altro di quanto sfortunatamente piccolo fosse il taglio dei profitti, per gli artisti che non avevano davvero lo spazio. e significa creare le proprie stampe o adesivi all'interno delle proprie case.
Dopotutto, non tutti hanno uno studio con tutto ciò di cui potrebbero aver bisogno.
Tuttavia, è stata un po’ di fortuna che Sarah abbia potuto acquistare e sfruttare appieno una stampante 3D, per contribuire a creare armature per il cosplay! Abbiamo notato tutte le cose incredibili che erano possibili con la stampante, come solo un po' di pura tenacia e lo spazio adeguato per ospitare tutto, hanno davvero trasformato la fantasia in realtà.
"Wow, ahah," abbiamo pensato ciascuno, "Onestamente, non sarebbe un po' facile? Costruire il nostro negozio? Realizzare gli articoli che desideriamo di più per noi stessi? Una stampante 3D è pazzesca, quanto più difficile potrebbe essere possibile realizzare adesivi e stampe...?"
I pensieri sono diventati del tutto reali dopo una serata di pura impulsività e brainstorming attivo. La cosa successiva che sapevamo era che avevamo trovato il nome di un negozio, avevamo i social media, avevamo un'e-mail da utilizzare per scopi commerciali e avevamo un vento forte sotto le nostre vele.
Non è passato molto tempo che abbiamo fatto un salto, studiato più a fondo ciò che implica l'avvio di una tipografia e abbiamo persino preparato la documentazione necessaria!
Dall'8 gennaio 2024, Pathfinder's Forge è diventata un'azienda ufficiale, con sede centrale in Ohio, USA.
È con l'aiuto di Sprout e Cass, i due artisti principali che aiutano a creare progetti per adesivi, stampe e abbigliamento, che il concetto di mettere una giusta quantità di profitto nelle mani dell'artista diventa realtà!
Invitiamo e invitiamo gli artisti a inviare il loro lavoro, in modo che possa essere aggiunto al nostro catalogo di articoli disponibili nel nostro negozio! Lavoriamo secondo un modello 70/30, in cui il 70% del profitto di un articolo va direttamente agli artisti con cui lavoriamo, mentre il 30% viene reinvestito nel negozio.
Alla fine, facciamo quello che facciamo da un luogo di puro amore per il nostro mestiere e di puro amore per gli artisti!

Pathfinder's Forge is spearheaded by a trio of queer, sapphic friends, Sarah, Sprout, and Cass!
The three came together when beginning to more actively partake within Star Wars fandom, settling themselves amongst a niche of folks who were particularly excited about wlw focused art and writing!
Absently, after going forth on our individual journies to create separate print shops and projects that contributed to the wider Star Wars fandom, we lamented to each other on how unfortunately small the cut of profit was, for artists who didn't really have the space and means to create their own prints or stickers within their own homes.
Not everyone has a studio space with everything they could ever need, after all.
However, it was a bit of luck, that Sarah was able to purchase and make full use of a 3D printer, to help create armor pieces for cosplay! We noted all the incredible stuff that was possible with the printer, how just some pure tenacity and proper space to host it all, really pulled fantasy into reality.
"Wow, haha," we each thought, "Wouldn't it honestly... Be a bit easy? To make our own shop? To make the items we wanted the most for ourselves? A 3D printer is crazy, how much harder could making stickers and prints possibly be...?"
Thoughts became quite real after an evening of pure impulsiveness and active brainstorming. The next thing we knew, we had come up with a store name, we had social media, we had an email to use for business purposes, and we had a fierce wind under our sails.
It wasn't too long after, that we took a leap, researched deeper into what goes into beginning a print shop, we even put out the necessary paperwork!
As of January 8th, 2024, Pathfinder's Forge became an official business, with our headquarters located at Ohio, USA.
It's with the help of Sprout and Cass, the two lead artists who help create designs for stickers, prints, and apparel, that the concept of putting a proper amount of profit into artist's hands is made real!
We invite and bring on artists to submit their work, so that it can be added onto our catalogue of items available within our store! We work off of a 70|30 model, where 70% of an item's profit goes directly to the artists we work with, while 30% is put back towards the shop.
At the end of the day, we do what we do from a place of pure love for our craft, and a pure love for artists!
And we hope that you love what we create as well!
