¡Hola! Mi nombre es Tammy, y soy la dama detrás de Posh Patterns. :-)

Mis aventuras en el tejido de punto y el ganchillo comenzaron hace unos 21 años cuando nació mi hija menor. Rápidamente se convirtió en un pasatiempo muy querido, comenzando con el ganchillo y tejiendo a continuación. Esencialmente aprendí a hacer ambas cosas, principalmente con libros instructivos de la biblioteca. Mi hobby pronto me llevó a diseñar mis propios proyectos, y luego, finalmente, a un negocio de diseño.

Mis patrones y diseños van desde accesorios clásicos y elegantes hasta piezas divertidas y caprichosas, ¡todas ellas perfectamente adecuadas para niños y adultos por igual! Realmente me gusta inspirarme en cualquier cosa que me llame la atención. Y, cuando una bufanda, sombrero o accesorio de cualquier tipo llama mi atención y me hace pensar, "que parece que sería maravilloso usarlo", trato de diseñar algo que haga que otros piensen eso también.

También me enorgullezco de la forma en que hago la escritura técnica para mis patrones, y me esfuerzo por producir instrucciones muy claras y lógicamente escritas. Como solo había estado tejiendo ganchillo y tejiendo durante un corto período de tiempo, antes de comenzar a diseñar, fue casi por necesidad que los escribí de una manera que fuera simple y fácil de entender. Envío todos mis patrones a "probadores de patrones", para que tengan la mayor posibilidad de precisión. Solo después de recibir la luz verde, de ellos, ofrezco mis diseños para su compra.

Otro aspecto importante de mi negocio es el nivel de servicio al cliente que proporciono. Siento que es increíblemente importante estar allí para responder a las preguntas de sus clientes, en caso de que surja una pregunta.

Si aún no eres tejedora o ganchillo, te insto a que lo pruebes. Tejer y hacer ganchillo puede ofrecer una experiencia verdaderamente relajante y casi meditativa. Si ya tejes y/o ganchillo, y decides probar uno de mis diseños, ¡espero que lo disfrutes! Ese es mi principal objetivo detrás de mi negocio: clientes felices de tejer y ganchillo. :-)

Hi! My name is Tammy, and I am the lady behind Posh Patterns. :-)

My adventures in knitting and crochet began about 21 years ago when my younger daughter was born. It quickly evolved into a much-loved hobby, beginning with crochet, and knitting to follow. I essentially taught myself how to do both, mainly with how-to books from the library. My hobby soon led me to design my own projects, and then eventually into a business of designing.

My patterns and designs range from classic and elegant accessories to fun and whimsical pieces--all of them perfectly suited for kids and grown-ups alike! I really like to get my inspiration from anything that draws my eye. And, when a scarf, hat, or accessory of any kind gets my attention and makes me think, "that looks like it would be wonderful to wear," I try to design something that would make others think that too.

I also take great pride in the way that I do the technical writing for my patterns, and I strive to produce very clear and logically written directions. Since I had only been crocheting and knitting for a short amount of time, before I began designing, it was almost out of necessity that I wrote them in a way that was simple and easy to understand. I send all of my patterns to "pattern testers," so that they have the greatest chance of accuracy. Only after I receive the green light, from them, do I offer my designs for purchase.

Another important aspect of my business is the level of customer service that I provide. I feel that it's incredibly important to be there to answer questions from your customers, should a question arise.

If you aren't a knitter or crocheter yet, I urge you to give it a go. Knitting and crocheting can offer a truly relaxing, and almost meditative, experience. If you do already knit and/or crochet, and you decide to try one of my designs, I hope that you enjoy it! That is my main goal behind my business--happy knitting and crocheting customers. :-)
