The spirit of New Orleans, its color, energy and zest for life is the focus of Rachel Maddox Designs. I am a lifelong resident, thus inspired by the charm of this lovely region. From the historic architecture of the French Quarter, the stately oaks of Audubon Park, to the vibrant Mardi Gras parades that wind thru the streets, beautiful sights abound.
My passion for design and crafting started as a young child. Thanks to my glamorous mother, I was greatly influenced by her impeccable taste and individual style. A true Southern lady, her vintage looks continue to inspire my creations today. With her guidance, my early ventures into the world of fashion began with hand modeling, followed by commercial, convention, and media advertising assignments throughout the country.
In 2009, I decided to start my own jewelry business. The design process has always been rewarding. Over the years, I am continuously motivated to create and evolve in my designs, finding pieces that everyone would love and enjoy wearing. My work is an extension of who I am and definitely comes out in my designs and I would hope that anyone who purchases my pieces will feel the same joy and love that goes into each and every item.
