Passion to Share!
In 2011, after reconnecting with my "Prom Date", now my wonderful husband, I moved to Mississippi, to start our life together, ( again ). My husband's career takes us all over the USA, so we moved to Nevada in 2013. I was creating mixed media art at the time and wanted rusty items to incorporate in the art. Off to the Mojave Desert we went, in search of Rust.
It was in this surreal desert setting, that we picked up our first piece of turquoise! This single piece quickly turned into a hobby, then a passion! We have studied rocks, minerals, crystals, gemstones, geology, the history of mining.
We have located and mined old mines, geological areas, hiked the desert, followed old timers to remote sites to collect, scoured estate sales, spent hours at rock, gem and mineral shows to hunt and gather beautiful rocks!
At the local Gem and Mineral Club, we learned to slice, cut, cab and polish the stones and rocks. I took classes in metal smithing, silversmithing and wire wrapping....what started out as the fascination with Nature's beauty and bounty has become a welcome (and somewhat obsessive) passion for me!
My goal is to provide top quality, artfully created, collectible, wearable, statement pieces at affordable prices, so that I may set your soul on fire with the beauty of Nature!
