Sture Care Studio
Considered tools for everyday life with memory loss.
Sture Care began with a close family member's Alzheimer's diagnosis. Watching how everyday moments — the day, the date, what's happening next — could become sources of quiet anxiety, I started looking for tools that helped without feeling clinical. I couldn't find what I was looking for. So I started making them.
I'm an industrial designer and educator based in Sweden. My background is in shaping objects and learning environments — work that taught me how form, clarity, and calm structure can change how a person moves through their day. Sture Care brings that same sensibility to the people who often need it most: those living with dementia, and the families caring for them.
Each product is designed with restraint — Nordic typography, generous space, no clutter. The goal is never to instruct or correct. It is to support, gently, and with dignity.
Sture Care is a small studio. I design every product, write every word, and read every message that comes in. If something here speaks to your situation, I'd love to hear from you.

About Sture Care Studio
We make printable design tools for families and caregivers supporting someone with dementia. Our products are simple by design — calendars, room labels, routine cards, reminiscence prompts. Each one made to anchor the day, support orientation, and offer dignity in moments that can otherwise feel uncertain.
Our work is grounded in dementia care research.
We design with reference to the standards set by DSDC Stirling, Cronin-Golomb's vision research, and Alzheimer's Western Australia. These institutions have spent decades studying how color, contrast, typography, and visual structure affect cognition and orientation in dementia. Our palette, our typography, our layouts — all chosen to meet WCAG AAA contrast for aging eyes, with calm muted tones that orient without overwhelming.
We refine our work with care experts.
Since spring 2026, we have collaborated with Sabbatsbergsbyn — a specialized dementia care home in Stockholm, part of the City of Stockholm's elder care system. Their nursing leadership reviews our designs, tests them in real care environments, and gives feedback that shapes every iteration. Our latest products have been redesigned twice based on direct input from their dementia care experts — including a complete refinement of color contrast and palette to better serve residents reading the products themselves.
