I HATE EMPTY WALLS.
Empty walls remind me of an insane asylum. Not that I've ever lived in one. Asylums discourage any objects which trigger overactive thoughts which lead to episodes. Me, I LOVE the ideas which surface when I look at paintings and drawings. I'm inspired by the beauty and emotions evoked by what I see on the walls.
At first, I cut out pictures from calendars and magazines and collaged them together to create my own vision of scenarios. Subsequently, someone gave me an acrylic painting set, so I started experimenting with those. Today, I draw portraits of animals and people incorporating doodle art, which is very satisfying and calming for me.
I branched out into beading jewelry, and thus my bracelets, earrings and necklaces. I have also written books which are available on Amazon.Com. Talk about an active imaginkation!!! I've got one of those.
I am more active than ever in my retirement years because of my artistic endeavors, and I love my life. I endeavor to recreate what I feel, see and sense, and I love every moment of it.
