Soy un instructor de buceo PADI con una pasión por la fotografía submarina. Enseñar buceo a lo largo de los años me ha bendecido con muchos encuentros increíbles con la vida silvestre marina. También ha sido una verdadera alegría y privilegio capturar algunos de estos momentos esquivos en la cámara. Siempre he querido hacer más con las imágenes que he recopilado y gracias a la pandemia ahora tengo tiempo. Resulta que Etsy es una excelente manera de compartir estas experiencias inolvidables contigo y realmente espero que las disfrutes tanto como yo.
Más que una imagen bonita, estas impresiones también son un testimonio de uno de los entornos más frágiles de la tierra. En el lapso de una década he visto cambios dramáticos en la salud del arrecife de coral, particularmente en las Maldivas, donde se ha llevado a cabo la mayor parte de mi buceo. Mi principal motivación para establecer esta tienda es encontrar una manera de generar ganancias para destinarlas a los esfuerzos de conservación. ¿Por qué podrías preguntar? Con demasiada frecuencia he visto una manta raya o tortuga marina, atrapada sin piedad en aparejos de pesca. Con demasiada frecuencia he visto cómo un ecosistema de arrecifes vibrante y saludable se reduce a escombros desnudos. De alguna manera, todos somos responsables de hacer algo al respecto. Este es mi camino.
I am a PADI diving instructor with a passion for underwater photography. Teaching SCUBA diving over the years has blessed me with many amazing marine wildlife encounters. It's also been a real joy and privilege to capture some of these elusive moments on camera. I've always meant to do more with the images I've collected and thanks to the pandemic I now have the time. It turns out that Etsy is a great way to share these unforgettable experiences with you and I do really hope that you'll enjoy them as much as I have.
More than just a pretty picture, these prints are also a testament to one of the most fragile environments on earth. In the span of a decade I have seen dramatic changes to the health of the coral reef, particularly in the Maldives where most of my diving has taken place. My main motivation for setting up this store is to find a way to generate proceeds to go towards conservation efforts. Why you might ask? Too often have I seen a manta ray or sea turtle, mercilessly ensnared in fishing tackle. Too often have I watched a vibrant and healthy reef ecosystem be reduced to bare rubble. In some way we are all responsible to do something about it. This is my way.
