Vintage Brown Glass Medical Herbal Apothecary Bottle Escamonea en Polvo Antiparasitic Label 8.75”

Nice amber colored glass bottle with a spout opening. Bottom of bottle has an interesting floral design.
Bottle measures approximately 8.75 inches tall and has a base of approximately 3.6 square inches.

Label says “ESCOMONEA EN POLVO”, which according to research, is the equivalent to convolvulus scammonia (commonly referred to as scammony). It is a bindweed native to the countries of the eastern part of the Mediterranean basin and is used to kill both roundworm and tapeworm, especially the former, and it was therefore used as an anthelmintic (an anti parasitic drug).

When looking through the bottle from the back side, label reads “TR CUASIA”

Label has a small tear along the left side. There are no visible chips or cracks, and bottle appears to be in great condition, please see all photos.

The bag is very nice and arrived fast for the distance and I am happy to have it! However, I just re-checked and the description definitely did not mention that the lining is quite severely damaged - and this is not visible in the photos. This is understandable considering the age of the object, but should have been specified, as it is for other items of the same type.
