The cicadas on these earrings are shell back stampings from an antique mold! The ear wires on these cicada charm earrings come with hypo-allergenic plastic clutches so they don't slip out! The ear wires are gold-filled, so they are great for people with nickel or other base metal allergies/sensitivities. The cicada charms have been hand polished and coated with a double layer of eco-friendly sealant, which preserves the patina and will protect from tarnish!
