Algumas das minhas memórias mais felizes da infância vêm das férias em família — especialmente das viagens aos parques da Disney. Os brinquedos, os fogos de artifício, os personagens — eles ficaram na minha memória. Agora que sou pai, tive a chance de levar meus próprios filhos, e algo inesperado aconteceu: por mais que eles se divirtam, eu me divirto ainda mais observando-os. Cada viagem me dá a chance de ignorar o mundo real por um tempo e voltar a ser criança.
A história da Disney sempre me fascinou — a criatividade, a logística, a narrativa que faz os parques funcionarem. Mas um dos momentos mais significativos aconteceu quando nossos filhos gêmeos, que tinham atraso na fala, encontraram suas vozes lá. Em casa, eles usavam principalmente a linguagem de sinais e palavras inventadas, mas os parques eram tão mágicos que eles precisavam falar sobre o que viam. De repente, eles estavam aprendendo novas palavras para brinquedos, fogos de artifício e personagens — a Disney literalmente deu a eles um motivo para falar.
Depois daquela viagem, minha família começou a compor músicas inspiradas na Disney — não músicas da Disney, mas músicas originais sobre os parques, as memórias, a magia. Uma das nossas primeiras faixas se chamava Back to the Magic, e se tornou o nome da nossa banda e desta loja.
Criar camisetas foi o próximo passo natural. Eu vivo usando roupas da Disney, mas um amigo comentou que a maioria delas era chamativa e óbvia. Então, decidi criar algo diferente: designs um pouco mais sutis para adultos e fãs da Disney. Camisetas que os fãs reconhecerão imediatamente, mas que para os outros podem parecer apenas uma camiseta de academia, uma camisa de pirata ou um design vintage de viagem.

Some of my happiest childhood memories come from family vacations — especially trips to Disney parks. The rides, the fireworks, the characters — they stuck with me. Now that I’m a dad, I’ve had the chance to bring my own kids, and something unexpected happened: as much fun as they have, I have even more fun watching them. Every trip gives me the chance to ignore the real world for a while and be a kid again.
Disney history has always fascinated me — the creativity, the logistics, the storytelling that makes the parks work. But one of the most meaningful moments came when our twin toddlers, who had been speech-delayed, found their voices there. At home, they mostly used sign language and made-up words, but the parks were so magical they had to talk about what they saw. Suddenly, they were learning new words for rides, fireworks, and characters — Disney literally gave them a reason to speak.
After that trip, my family started writing Disney-inspired music together — not Disney songs, but original songs about the parks, the memories, the magic. One of our first tracks was called Back to the Magic, and it became the name of our band and this shop.
Designing shirts was the natural next step. I live in Disney gear, but a friend pointed out that most of it was loud and obvious. So I decided to create something different: designs for Disney adults and fans that are a little more subtle. Shirts that insiders will spot immediately, but to everyone else might just look like a gym tee, a pirate shirt, or a vintage travel design.
