About the Owner
Alexandra was born in Massachusetts and began researching her personal genealogy in 2017. She was inspired to learn and preserve the stories of her ancestors—the everyday men and women of history who were only mere lines in her textbooks. With each of her eight great-grandparents hailing from a different part of the world, she began a genealogical adventure that would take her research as far back as the 1500s and to places such as Québec, Ireland, England, Norway, Greece, and Syria!
In 2019, Alexandra started taking on clients—helping them to discover their own roots around the globe. She has assisted clients of a variety of different backgrounds and has extensive experience with French-Canadian, American, Irish, British, Greek, and Italian genealogical research. She has especially enjoyed helping clients to document and preserve their family trees in new and fun ways with the use of digital, printable templates. This interest led her to create People & Places Genealogy Templates, which she made available on Etsy.com in 2025. She also founded Back to the Past Genealogy after becoming a full-time genealogist.
Alexandra earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Wellesley College and her Master’s degree in Applied Intelligence Analysis from Georgetown University. Over the past several years, she has had the privilege of working with the Investigative Genetic Genealogy Accreditation Board (IGGAB), Greek Ancestry, and with several genealogy organizations and societies. She is an active member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG).
