Controlnew (CTRL+N) an Indonesian brand that emerged in early 2018 with a mission to enter the sustainable fashion industry. Addressing the issue of fabric waste and recognizing the potential to repurpose it.
Controlnew has made fabric waste the primary material for all of its products. Each product is crafted spontaneously and expressively, utilizing the available fabric waste. As a result, every item appears unique and distinctive. Controlnew creates art through the process of crafting each product. This begins with sorting fabric waste and then creatively assembling it to form a larger pattern sheet.
Controlnew was inspired by the Japanese Boro technique, which involves repurposing old, worn-out cloth. This method repairs tattered and holey fabrics by adding patches. This unique approach offers a fresh perspective, emphasizing the value of a piece of cloth by maximizing its use and mending it through patching, combining, and sewing. The Boro concept, which contrasts sharply with the fast fashion industry, is challenging. As a result, Controlnew is committed to upholding the principles of sustainability and slow fashion.

The packaging is using bamboo woven basket, You can add a short personalized note for the recipient. We will include it inside the package.
