Ho iniziato la mia carriera professionale come addetto alle pubbliche relazioni in una galleria d'arte nella mia città natale, un piccolo posto affascinante ma assonnato e tranquillo.
Dovevo trovare un modo per portare il messaggio di tutti quegli artisti di talento nel mondo e riempire le sale espositive vuote di persone.
Mi sono subito reso conto che la presenza online è la chiave del successo. La seconda cosa che ho scoperto subito, però, è che i curatori d'arte, con cui ho avuto modo di lavorare, possono essere eccellenti nel loro lavoro ma riluttanti quando si tratta di usare Internet. Hanno trovato gli strumenti online professionali avanzati complicati e stimolanti e ovviamente, impegnati con il loro lavoro, non hanno avuto il tempo di padroneggiare nuove competenze.
Non avrei potuto avere successo senza il loro aiuto, quindi ho iniziato a cercare i modi per raggiungere lo stesso obiettivo con strumenti semplici, più amichevoli per gli utenti non esperti di tecnologia.

Un anno dopo ci è stato assegnato il premio Pro Wikimedia per la migliore presenza online di tutte le istituzioni culturali del paese.
Un feedback simile proveniente dai mercanti d'arte di tutta Europa mi ha rassicurato sul fatto che il premio non è stato un colpo di fortuna e che dovevamo aver fatto qualcosa di giusto!

Da quel momento, ho avuto l'opportunità di lavorare su molti progetti diversi per diverse aziende e quello che ho imparato è che mi imbatto ripetutamente esattamente nello stesso problema: persone dotate, brave in quello che fanno, ma sottovalutate a causa della loro lotta con l'aspetto tecnico della promozione del loro prodotto o servizio online.

Ho anche imparato una cosa su me stesso: sono appassionato di persone appassionate e adoro vederle avere successo. Soprattutto tutte quelle startup individuali che nascono da hobby, sogni e pura creatività.
Non dovremmo frapporre ostacoli inutili, in particolare nulla di così banale come le sfide tecniche intimidatorie.

Ecco perché mi sono dedicato ad aiutarli ad avviare rapidamente la loro presenza online e lavoro costantemente per migliorare i modi semplici di gestire i contenuti, senza la necessità di acquistare applicazioni costose o assumere uno specialista IT.

I started my professional career as a public relation person in an art gallery in my hometown, charming yet sleepy and quiet little place.
I had to find a way to get the message of all those talented artists out into the world and fill the empty exhibition rooms with people.
I quickly realised that online presence is the key to the success. The second thing I found out straight away though, was that the art curators, I got to work with, may be excellent at their jobs but reluctant when it comes to using internet. They found the advanced professional online tools complicated and challenging and obviously, busy with their work, did not have time for mastering new skills.
I couldn't succeed without their help, so I started looking for the ways of achieving the same goal with simple, more friendly to non-tech-savvy users tools.

A year later we were granted the Pro Wikimedia award for the best online presence of all cultural institutions in the country.
Similar feedback coming from the art merchants from all over Europe reassured me that the award was not a stroke of luck and we must had done something right!

Since that time, I’ve had an opportunity to work on many different project for several different companies and what I’ve learned is that I repeatedly come across exactly the same problem - gifted people, great at what they do, yet underappreciated due to their struggle with the technical aspect of promoting their product or service online.

I’ve also learned one thing about myself - I’m passionate about passionate people and love seeing them succeed. Especially all of those one-man startups sprouting out of hobbies, dreams and pure creativity.
We should not be putting any unnecessary obstacles in their way, in particular nothing as trivial as the intimidating technical challenges.

That’s why I’ve devoted myself to helping them quick start their online presence and I'm constantly working on improving the simple ways of managing the content - without the necessity of buying expensive applications or hiring an IT specialist.
