Our Story
Intangible Coffee is an artist-run coffee roastery based in Brooklyn NY, united by a shared passion for beauty, expression, and coffee. We aim to infuse every drop with their way of sensing and perceiving the world.
We believe coffee is more than a daily beverage; it is a wondrous, spiritual journey — a connection between the senses and the mind, evoking memories, silence, time, and dreams. “Intangible” is the name we’ve given to this journey. It points to those ineffable, yet deeply felt moments of experience that dwell within life itself.
We are committed to using specialty coffee beans sourced from distinct origins and freshly roasted to preserve the most subtle layers and personalities of flavor. Each batch of coffee is a standalone work of art — honest, pure, expansive, and profound.
All of Intangible’s packaging imagery is derived from the paintings of one of our founding artist members. Her work explores themes of time, memory, body, and identity. The blurred, unfinished, and freely flowing forms in her paintings reflect our own understanding of the “intangible.”
