Ein handgewebtes Tuch ist etwas ganz Besonderes. Diese alte Kunst hat grundlegende Kleidung geliefert, unsere Babys warm gehalten, unsere Häuser dekoriert und lustige Accessoires zu unserer Mode hinzugefügt. Es hört nie auf, mich mit der Schönheit zu überraschen, die aus einem Faden und einer Phantasie kommt.
Meine Finger berühren jeden Zentimeter jedes Fadens mindestens fünfmal, bevor ich überhaupt mit dem Weben beginne. Dies ist die Kette, die Fäden, die auf den Webstuhl gelegt werden. Der Faden, mit dem ich webe, der auf einem Shuttle gewickelt ist, ist der Schuss.
Sobald das Stück vom Webstuhl ist, muss es noch nass fertig sein: gewaschen, gepresst und gesäumt oder fransen. Ob Sie es glauben oder nicht, das eigentliche Weben des Gegenstands ist der kürzeste aller Schritte, es sei denn, es handelt sich um ein sehr komplexes Muster.
Ich verwende nur die besten Fäden und Garne. Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass, wenn Sie sich die Zeit nehmen, etwas von Hand zu tun, tun Sie es mit dem Besten, was Sie finden können.

A handwoven cloth is a very special thing. This ancient art has provided basic clothing, kept our babies warm, decorated our homes, and added fun accessories to our fashions. It never ceases to amaze me the beauty that comes from some thread and imagination.
My fingers touch every inch of every thread at least five times before I even begin to weave. This the warp, the threads that are put on the loom. The thread I weave with, that is wound on a shuttle, is the weft.
Once the piece is off the loom, it still needs to be wet finished: washed, pressed, and hemmed or fringed. Believe it or not, the actual weaving of the item is the shortest of all the steps unless it's a very complex pattern.
I use only the best quality threads and yarns. I'm a firm believer that if you're going to take the time to do something by hand, do it with the best you can find.
