Sport und Kreativität sind die Essenz dessen, wer ich bin!
Sports and creativity are the essence of who I am!
Ich bin damit aufgewachsen, Pferde zu lieben und zu reiten. Meine Tochter erbte die gleiche Leidenschaft. Eines Jahres machte ich einen pferdekopfförmigen Strumpf nach dem Vorbild ihres Pferdes und hing am Weihnachtsmorgen am Stall gefüllt mit Zuckerwürfeln und Karotten. Alle ihre "Stallgefährten" liebten es und wollten einen! Ebenso habe ich es das ganze Jahr über auf dem Stand gehalten, um Notizen an Hufschmied und Tierarzt zu erhalten. Als das nächste Weihnachten kam, wollten alle eines. Dann fing mein Sohn an, Fußball zu spielen, und ich entwarf einen "Fußball" -Strumpf für ihn und einige seiner Freunde und verkaufte ihn schließlich an das gesamte Team! Im Jahr 1974 bekam ich ein Muster für einzigartig geformte Strümpfe und habe es durch all die Jahre behalten. Ich zog es wieder heraus und fing an, kreativ zu werden, wie ich sehr lustige, skurrile und einzigartige Strümpfe oder Geschenktüten herstellen konnte. Es hat sich im Laufe der Jahre durchgesetzt und weiterentwickelt, um viele Sportarten, Berufe und Tiere einzubeziehen! Ich liebe es, neue Dinge zu schaffen und bin immer bereit für eine Herausforderung. Kreativität ist der Kern dessen, was mich "ticken" lässt, denn sie gibt mir Ruhe, Entspannung und Stolz.
I grew up loving and riding horses. My daughter inherited the same passion. One year I made a horse head shaped stocking in the likeness of her horse and hung on the stall on Christmas morning filled with sugar cubes and carrots. All her "stablemates" loved it and wanted one! Likewise I kept it on the stall year round for notes to farrier and vet. So when the next Christmas came around, everyone wanted one. Then my son started playing soccer and I designed a "soccer" themed stocking for him and some of his friends and ended up selling to the whole team! Back in 1974, I got a pattern for unique shaped stockings and have kept it through all these years. I pulled it back out and began to get creative on how I could make very fun, whimsical and unique stockings or gift bags. It has caught on and evolved throught the years to include lots of sports, professions and animals! I love creating new things and am always up for a challenge. Creativity is at the core of what makes me "tick", as it gives me peace, relaxation and pride.
