MsModifyPLAY! is a family business that was born unofficially two years ago when I was frustrated that I couldn’t find the perfect mobile for my baby’s nursery. I had a very specific design in mind that I wanted (simple, modern yet bohemian). Every mobile I came across was made out of felt balls and I knew I wanted them to be wooden. I told my mom and she told me to design it how I wanted and she would make it! She did and it turned out better than I ever imaged and became the statement piece in the nursery I hope for!

Fast forward two years when my dad made my son a couple of toy cars in his workshop from scraps of wood. They immediately became Declan’s favorite toys and suddenly all his friends wanted one too. We decided to share the designs with friends and family and everyone loved them! This gave us the nudge to start a business selling handmade wooden products that align with the Montessori style of parenting I have. It’s always been a dream of ours to have a family business and the baby/kid space is exactly where our hearts feel like it needs to be!

With a nod to safety and sustainability all of our products are handmade from natural materials and use only non-toxic and food grade finishes. Everything is made to order and crafted by my dad, mom or myself (and help from husband!) with attention to detail, design, and quality. We hope you’ll love our products as much as we enjoy making and sharing them with everyone!
