PocketMod – Our Shop Story
PocketMod började som ett litet projekt mellan två Nintendo-älskare – Simon (det är jag) och min flickvän Elle. Det som började som ett enkelt Joy-Con-skalbyte förvandlades snabbt till något mer: en gemensam besatthet av att få konsoler att se lika roliga och personliga ut som spelen de spelar.
Just nu fokuserar jag på anpassade Joy-Con-skalmoddar. Varje par demonteras noggrant, rengörs, förses med högkvalitativa eftermarknadsskal, testas och skickas tillbaka med spårbar frakt. Det är inte massproducerat – det är gjort för hand, med omsorg och tänkt att kännas som något riktigt ditt.
Elles roll är bakom kulisserna – för tillfället. Men hon har varit passionerad för Game Boy Advance-modding i flera år, och hon arbetar för att snart lansera fullständiga GBA-anpassade byggen. När det händer kommer PocketMod att expandera till fler handhållna system och ett bredare utbud av moddstilar.
Tillsammans skapar vi något litet men genuint. Bara två personer som moddar handhållna enheter precis som vi önskar att de kom direkt ur lådan.

PocketMod started as a small project between two Nintendo lovers—Simon (that’s me) and my girlfriend Elle. What began as a simple Joy-Con shell swap quickly turned into something more: a shared obsession with making consoles look as fun and personal as the games they play.
Right now, I focus on custom Joy-Con shell mods. Each pair is carefully disassembled, cleaned, fitted with high-quality aftermarket shells, tested, and sent back with tracked shipping. It’s not mass-produced—it’s done by hand, with care, and meant to feel like something truly yours.
Elle’s role is behind the scenes—for now. But she’s been passionate about Game Boy Advance modding for years, and she’s working toward launching full GBA custom builds soon. When that happens, PocketMod will expand into more handheld systems and a wider range of mod styles.
Together, we’re creating something small but genuine. Just two people modding handhelds the way we wish they came out of the box.
