Hey there! My name is Retha. I have always been a naturally creative child and through the years it has continued to be the way that I can express myself. Especially on those long hard days, between working full-time, being a wife, and a mother to twin toddler girls. It is extremely important, no, vital, to my mental health to be able to craft things with my hands and to have a quiet mind. But, more importantly, to have something that is my own.
I started this business with the hope of being able to share my handmade crafts and my love of all things book related with like-minded humans. Reading came so fluidly to me, and I grew up loving reading but didn't think it could be a form of passion. I just figured, "everyone reads". Now looking back, reading has allowed me the escapism I needed at very difficult times in my life. This being the case for many other people as well. I decided to marry my two natural loves and so RethaMDesigns was put into motion.
My mission is to create unique, authentic, and well-made crafts for anyone to enjoy and especially my fellow book lovers.
I truly wish my crafts will bring joy into your lives as much as they do mine.
