ShinyDesigns es el estudio de Monette Satterfield, una artista multidisciplinar que trabaja en las montañas Blue Ridge, en el oeste de Carolina del Norte.
Llevo más de tres décadas creando arte, y esto es lo que sé: La Creación no espera a que te sientas preparado. Te llama. Tú respondes o no.
Esta tienda es para artistas que responden.
Lo que encontrarás aquí:
Pinturas originales de técnica mixta realizadas en un estudio real, desordenado y en pleno funcionamiento. Carpetas de efímeros hechas a mano: colecciones encuadernadas de papeles, marcas y materiales encontrados, elaborados en el estudio, que funcionan como diarios de arte, materiales para collage u objetos en sí mismos. Libros y paquetes hechos a mano para artistas que aprecian tener algo físico en sus manos. Alguna que otra herramienta digital para artistas que quieren empezar ya mismo.
Nada de esto tiene que ver con la sanación. Nada de esto implica esperar a que tengas los materiales adecuados, el espacio idóneo o la inspiración necesaria. Es para el artista que ya está buscando la pintura.
La postura del forastero:
No hago arte como lo dicta el mundo del arte. No espero la aprobación de galerías, críticos ni tendencias. Creo mi obra a partir de algo más antiguo y honesto que todo eso: de la Creación misma, de la energía salvaje que fluye a través de cada trazo, cada capa, cada trozo de papel que cae donde cae.
Si eso te atrae, estás en el lugar correcto. O te atrae o no.

Original mixed media paintings made in a real, messy, working studio. Handmade ephemera folios — bound collections of studio-made papers, marks, and found materials that work as art journals, collage supply, or objects in their own right. Handmade books and mail packages for artists who love something physical to hold. The occasional digital tool for artists who want to start right now.
None of it is about healing. None of it is waiting for you to have the right supplies, the right space, or the right amount of inspiration. It's for the artist who is already reaching for paint.
The Outsider Stance:
I don't make art the way the art world says to. I don't wait for permission from galleries, critics, or trends. I make work from something older and more honest than all of that — from The Creation itself, the wild energy that moves through every mark, every layer, every piece of paper that lands where it lands.
