Namnet "Summit to sand" representerar mer än fokus i min fotografering på landskap och den naturliga miljön. Det representerar min kärlek till bergen och havet såväl som mitt passionerade intresse för de stigar som bildar förbindelser genom alla de vackra ekosystem som fyller vår värld. Som oceanograf och biogeokemist är jag fascinerad av kolcykeln och de fysiska och biologiska processer som är viktiga för att reglera klimatet och vår miljös hälsa. Min fotografering återspeglar min vördnad för den naturliga skönhet som omger oss med hopp om att inspirera till bevarande och förvaltning av våra värdefulla naturresurser. Som make och far strävar jag efter att begränsa mitt koldioxidavtryck och skydda sårbara ekosystem för min dotter och kommande generationer. Jag hoppas att mina bilder väcker en känsla av glädje och förundran, tanke och reflektion över vår naturliga värld.
The name 'Summit to sand' represents more than the focus of my photography on landscapes and the natural environment. It represents my love for the mountains and the ocean as well as My passionate interests in the pathways that form connections through all of the beautiful ecosystems that fill our world. As an oceanographer and biogeochemist I am fascinated by carbon cycle and the physical and biological processes that are important to regulating climate and the health of our environment. My photography reflects my awe for the natural beauty that surrounds us with the hope of inspiring conservation and stewardship of our precious natural resources. As a husband and father, I strive to limit my carbon footprint and protect vulnerable ecosystems for my daughter and generations to come. I hope my images invoke a sense of joy and amazement, thought and reflection on our natural world.
