Ciao a tutti, mi chiamo Ashley! Sono un'infermiera registrata nella zona di Dallas e mi piace bruciare nel mio tempo libero. Il mio soggetto preferito sono le falene (chiaramente) e cerco di farne il maggior numero possibile di tipi diversi, da popolari e noti a oscuri e sottorappresentati. Traccio immagini di riferimento ad alta risoluzione di falene reali, le applico su carta carbone, le traccio sul legno stesso, le brucio sul mio tracciato e poi le acquerello in base alla loro immagine di riferimento prima di rivestirle tre volte in poliuretano lucido. Tutto ciò che vedi nel mio negozio è fatto a mano dall'inizio alla fine da me, usando strumenti manuali e il mio Mastercarver Burnmaster Eagle, che non posso raccomandare abbastanza se sei sul mercato.
Occasionalmente rinnovo anche i paralumi, perché mi sono stancato di non essere mai in grado di trovare paralumi odiosi da abbinare alle mie odiose lampade vintage. Ne ho fatto uno e mi sono agganciato, quindi appariranno anche qua e là, con o senza una lampada attaccata.

Hey y’all, My name is Ashley! I’m a registered nurse in the Dallas area and I like to woodburn in my spare time. My favorite subject matter is moths (clearly) and I try to make as many different kinds as I can, from popular and well-known to obscure and under-represented. I trace high resolution reference images of real moths, apply them to carbon transfer paper, trace them onto the wood itself, burn over my tracing, and then watercolor them based on their reference image before triple coating them in high gloss polyurethane. Everything you see in my shop is handmade from start to finish by me, using hand tools and my Mastercarver Burnmaster Eagle, which I cannot recommend enough if you’re in the market.
I also occasionally refurbish lampshades, because I got tired of not ever being able to find obnoxious lampshades to go with my obnoxious vintage lamps. I made one and got hooked, so they’ll pop up here and there as well, with or without a lamp attached.
