On sale! Stunning Art Deco vase from Val Saint-Lambert, Belgium -- the Bolero design by Charles Graffart, first produced in the late 1940s. The vase is made of doubled glass -- crystal clear glass banded with an emerald green overlay. The green is a rich color, appearing almost black at the base of the piece. The vase is signed on the bottom and dates to the 1950s or 1960s. It's in good condition overall but has a chip on one point on the rim, plus a smaller chip on the adjacent point and a few fleabites (see photos). The damage is only apparent on close inspection, so the piece still displays well, but it is reflected in the price.

I really love my watermelon basket! I love these so much. I recall when they came out. I bought my first one that I adored at a tiny shop filled with wonderful things in it called Ninepatch in Berkeley, CA. I grew up in Berkeley. I had no idea that these watermelon baskets were sold everywhere. I guess I thought back then that they were only sold in one of my favorite little shops! I am now trying to find other shapes as well..like the long versions of them! They are adorable. I have "collections of collections" as my husband likes to always say! 😄 I love trinket boxes so, ...even teeny tiny or just small boxes make me happy!
