MEASURING YOUR CANDLE VESSEL/JAR
Step 1: Prepare Your Tape Measure
-Some tape measures have inches on one side and centimeters/mm on the other. Find the side that has the units you're most comfortable with or the units requested (inches, mm, or cm).
Step 2: Measuring the Diameter
Position the Jar: Place your candle jar or vessel on a flat surface to ensure stability while measuring.
Start Measuring: Hold the end of the tape measure (the "0" mark) against one edge of the jar's opening. It's important to start exactly at the edge for accuracy.
Extend the Tape Across: Carefully extend the tape measure straight across the jar's opening to the opposite edge. Make sure the tape is not sagging or bending.
Read the Measurement: Look at the point where the tape meets the opposite edge of the jar. This is your jar's outside diameter. Note the number closest to the edge, ensuring you're reading from the correct side of the tape (inches, mm, or cm).
Step 3: Account for Jar Threads (If Any)
If your jar has threads (the spiraled ridges used to screw a lid on), make sure you measure just below or above the threads to get the diameter of the jar itself, not the threads. This ensures the measurement reflects the jar's actual opening size.
Tips:
Double-Check: It's a good idea to measure twice to ensure accuracy.
Tape Tension: Keep the tape measure snug but not too tight across the jar's opening. Too much tension can slightly stretch the tape, skewing the measurement.
Visibility: Make sure the tape measure is directly over the opening and your view is perpendicular to the tape. Looking at an angle can distort the measurement.
CARE INSTRUCTION:
Only use warm water and soap to clean product.
