These charming garnet and mixed metal Flea Circus earrings combine sparkling stones and crystals with a bit of nostalgic whimsy. Adorable fleas sporting fancy top hats are happily pedaling their little flea bikes for their performance in the Flea Circus. The fleas are adorned with deep burgundy hued diamond shaped garnets stacked atop. Fine chains embellished with faceted crystals and a collection of silver, black and raspberry colored beads hang below. The effect is festive, fun and rustic with a touch of finery. These wonderful earrings will be perfect for anyone who appreciates the bygone era of flea circuses or who enjoys a bit of unexpected fun. They are approximately 7/8 inch wide and 3 inches in length. The ear wires are non allergenic titanium. One earring weighs 5.1 grams and the other weighs 5.2 grams. They are each basically the same weight as a single nickel which weighs 5 grams.

The bike riding fleas were created using modern tools that have been faithfully reproduced in small batches from original vintage and antique hand carved tools and dies for authentically inspired new work.
