Vintage Red Tigereye Bead,Vintage German Turquoise Glass Bead, Japanese Miyuki Picasso Turquoise Glass Fringe Beads, Bali Style Antiqued Gold Plated Bead Caps

Vintage 10mm red tigereye beads have been combined with 1950s German glass in a luscious shade of turquoise with a touch of amber brown . Each flat glass bead measures approximately 3/8" in diameter and 1/8" thick.

◉ As a point of interest : The German glass bead industry began in 1948 when German glass makers were evicted from Czechoslovakia because of their German surnames. Of the two thousand or so workers and owners evicted- only about 2 or 3 were still making hand pressed glass in the 70's.
All the vintage German glass beads that I use in my work is from this earliest time period ( the 1950s ) and not the 1970s and later.

► All the stone beads which I use were personally selected by me in Hong Kong during the 1970s-1980s when the standards of cutting were meticulous. Nowadays, stone beads are being cut and imported from India where the labor is cheap, the beads are not always perfectly round, nor do they have an even polish and many times they are not even drilled all the way through .

The contrast between the rich reddish brown of the tigereye and the vivid turquoise of the glass is wonderful.
Ornate Bali style antiqued gold plated pewter beads separate these 2 vintage beads adding texture .

A dangling cluster of 6 tiny contemporary Japanese Miyuki turquoise Picasso glass beads hang gracefully beneath the German glass bead for movement - they are the exact same shade as the German glass bead with the exact same amber brown/gold mottling !

These vintage earrings have an ethnic and rather exotic look to them - they are approximately 1 3/4" in length and have been finished on antiqued brass french ear wires.

They will arrive gift wrapped in a little box tied with a pretty ribbon all ready for gift giving.

I have the documentation to prove that all the porcelain shard pendants that I use in my designs are genuine Qing Dynasty ( 1644- 1911) or Ming Dynasty ( 1368-1644 ) antiques. I purchased a few of these gorgeous porcelain shards during a buying trip to Hong Kong during the late 1970's.

The vintage drizzle beads in these earrings are stunning in person. They are handcrafted beads from the 1940s, and I've never seen any beads like them. The glass color is a very saturated lime green. The earrings are beautifully crafted and were shipped quickly. Thank you, Debby!
