  • Materials: Baltic birch plywood, quartz clock mechanism, glossy lacquer

The clock is a physical object with a digital glitch design and gives a interesting optical illusion. In the realm of "glitch art" there are very few physical objects and still fewer wooden objects. This clock is therefore truly unique.

I hand cut the clock using a scroll saw. The clock is then sanded until silky smooth and finished with several layers of glossy polyurethane lacquer.

The clock is made from Baltic birch and is 27 cm (10 inch) in diameter. The face is made of either 3mm or 6mm wood (selected during checkout).

The quartz mechanism uses a single AA-battery (not included).

If I hadn't paid so much money, I'd be satisfied with this item. But AU$136 for a warped, chipped, peeling piece of 4mm cheap ply board is very disappointing. The item details do say it "may" be warped, depending on the environment. But if you know it's warped, maybe offer a discounted price. This was intended as a gift for a dear friend. I don't know what I'll do with it now.

Hi Bethany. I am sorry that you are not happy with the poster. I would really like to resolve this issue and are still open to work with you and discuss the various refund, return or replace options that I have mentioned in the messages to you. Hoping to hear back from you.

I ordered the Orrery kit on 31.09.2020 for my 3 years old daughter. It was delivered from Sweden to Bulgaria in just 9 days. We started to construct the Orrery together with my daughter, so it took us some 3 weeks. It is not an easy job, you need a lot of concentration and patience. We oiled the moving parts and teeth with mechanic oil, because the lubrication with candle is just not enough for smooth operation of the Orrery. There are some things I would like to be different: - The diameter of the final product is around 15 cm. I wish it was probably at least 2 times bigger. - Would be great if the Earth could spin around its axis. - Would be even greater if you could add a light source (on batteries) in the sun, to see the effect on Earth and Moon. Cheers from Bulgaria, Dragan
