The inspiration for the design on this t-shirt comes from a medieval ceramic made in 11th century Fatimid Cairo which features a gazelle arabesque. Fatimid art uniquely depicted scenes of nature and daily life, a concept often called 'frozen realism.' The gazelle was often a subject of composition for medieval Islamic artists because in Arabic literature it wasn't only a beautiful part of desert fauna, it was also a rare sight which symbolized the beloved in verses of poetry. If one caught a glimpse of a majestic and elegant gazelle, it was compared to seeing the beauty of one's beloved. This shirt's design aims to evoke that literary and artistic motif, and bring a little history and style to your world.

I got this beautiful Item more than a month ago and we only opened it recently. It was a Ramadan gift for my child. The puzzle pieces are well cut and the picture is large enough to show Al Idrissi amazing map. Honestly, this is an awesome gift for children growing up far from Arab and Muslim culture. That way they can know their rich background. The item arrived in a beautiful gift wrap with the note I asked for…plus, a kind note from the seller. Speaking of the seller: she is a terrific artist who deserves every support. She is kind, friendly and always remains professional. Not to mention her high taste and rich boutique and skills.
