The Lingonberry earrings, made with bright red bamboo coral to match the real lingonberry perfectly. THE BERRY COLLECTION
The Lingonberry earrings are part of the BERRY collection, inspired by the wild Swedish nature and all it has to offer. I wanted to make a collection of pieces inspired by the country I'm from and nothing says Sweden to me like the wild and beautiful nature we have. Nothing beats a walk in the forest, soaking in the fresh air and listening to the sounds of nature. Instant calm to your body and mind. The berries in this collection are loved by us swedes and grows aplenty in our climate. Lingonberry jam or pickled lingonberries is the perfect addition to meatballs and mashed potatoes. Blueberries are used very frequently in desserts. And nothing beats warm cloudberry jam poured over some scoops of vanilla ice cream. And if you've picked the berries yourself, it all tastes even better!

BAMBOO CORAL
The reason I chose to use bamboo coral in this piece was because how much it looks like the real lingonberry. The beads have slight imperfections such as colour variations and little dents, but so does the real lingonberry, only adding to the likeness. Bamboo coral is a type of coral mostly living in the deep sea. However, bamboo coral is a colourless coral commonly dyed to mimic the naturally occuring and precious red coral. I normally try to stay clear of altered minerals since I want to offer you guys the genuine thing. However, since real red coral is highly endangered, red-dyed bamboo coral really is the only option for me. In the jewellery industry, red-dyed bamboo has been accepted as a replacement for the genuine red coral for years. Because bamboo coral is naturally soft and porous, keep the beads away from perfumes and hairsprays to avoid damage.
