Description
A wooden model kit that assembles into a wind up car, driven by rubber bands.
The kit comes in a envelope the size of a postcard and make a unique gift for anyone interested in self driven mechanical models. Send this as a Birthday card or gift card (the envelope is shipped in a larger package and left open to add your own note to the receiver).
The kit contains all the parts, sandpaper, rubber bands and a full color leaflet with clear assembly instructions.
Size of the kit (un-assembled): 16 x 11.5 x 1 cm (6.2 x 4.5 x 0,4 inches).
Size of car: 10.5 x 7 x 4.5 cm (4 x 2.7 x 1.7 inches).
The car is wound with a key, that can be stored on the car, and will run for approximately 3-4 meters (9 - 13 feet). It can also be pushed back to wind and will run by letting go.
This is an awesome model that will not only provide joy during construction but will also teach a variety of engineering principles, such as gear ratios and the moment of inertia.
Note the color of the rubber bands may vary from those in the images.
